The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me...
We bow in humble submission to the will of God as this loving family has charged our staff to make known to all that their beloved: George James "Gomer" Robinson, answered the master's call and exchanged time for eternity on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.
"His Life"
Mr. George James Robinson, affectionately known as “Gomer,” was born on February 20, 1968, in Terrell County, to Janie Mae Smith and George Lewis Williams, Sr.
George was educated in the Terrell County Public School System.
For many years, he worked as a short-haul semi-truck driver and took great pride in working on the farm. He also helped others by taking on various odd jobs.
Known for his larger-than-life personality, George was truly a “character,” always joking and bringing laughter to everyone around him. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his family and friends.
George transitioned to meet his Lord and Savior on January 6, 2026.
He was preceded in death by his adoptive mother, who raised him, Willie Pearl Robinson, and a sister, Mary Nell Smith.
Precious memories will always be cherished by his loving family, which includes his wife, Daphane Robinson of Dawson, Georgia; his children, Jatambria Jordan and Montavious (Marishia) Kimbrough of Dawson, Georgia; Allisha and Allison Robinson of Macon, Georgia; and Aniya Robinson of Cuthbert, Georgia; his grandchildren, Kymoriah Kimbrough, Montavious Kimbrough, Jr., Kymeriah Kimbrough, and Kyzoriah Kimbrough of Dawson, Georgia, and Enzley Petty of Macon, Georgia; his mother, Janie Mae Smith of Connecticut; his father, George Lewis (Bertha) Williams, Sr. of Dawson, Georgia; his sisters, Rebecca (Melvin) Sims of Dawson, Georgia, Angela (Abraham) Shumate of Albany, Georgia, and Vickey Williams of Casa Grande, Arizona; his brothers, Willie (Mattie) Robinson of Dawson, Georgia, Joseph (Cheyenne) Hill of Richland, Georgia, Ozell Dale of Atlanta, Georgia, George (Shemeka) Williams, Jr. of Warner Robins, Georgia, Rickie (Patricia) Williams, Sr. of Albany, Georgia, and Jazzmond (Michelle) Kendrick of Sasser, Georgia; and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
